Thank you to the BMES Syringe & Needle Dispenser team for making our first BMES project a success!!! After several months of planning, dedication, and teamwork, they expertly prototyped their design. The team implemented and perfected skills learned in their coursework, including AutoCAD and design methodology. You all rock!

Congratulations to Jenna Al-saleh!!! Jenna successfully defended her Master's thesis, “Evaluation of a Biomaterial-based Three-dimensional Model of Breast Cancer Metastasis“ and has graduated with her Master's degree from UGA. Jenna is the founder of the University of Georgia BMES chapter. Her vision, dedication and leadership paved the path for the success of our club.

Congratulations to Megan Lucente! One year since joining BMES, Megan has just accepted her first research position on campus. She will learn advance laboratory skills, including cell culturing, imaging, and data analysis. Megan will be working under phD student Priyanka Priyadarshani in the RBC Mortensen Lab.

Congratulations to Mary Beth Mahaffey!!! Mary Beth was awarded the Undergraduate Award for Academic Excellence (Biological Engineering) for her exemplary performance in upper-level engineering coursework.

Mary Beth is a 4th year biological engineering major and the current Vice President of UGA BMES. She will also be attending medical school in the fall.
